Risks, fees and how it works
Please read this before you add money. The wording is a draft and will be finalised with legal advice.
What Nestervest is, and is not
- Nestervest is run by a private company. The money you add is pooled with the company's own capital in the company's treasury and deployed in the company's own trading operation.
- Nestervest is not a bank, a regulated investment fund, a licensed investment manager or a custodian, and it does not claim to be authorised by a financial regulator.
- Your balance is a record of what the company owes you. It is not held in a separate account in your name, and it is not ring-fenced from the company's other money.
- No deposit insurance or compensation scheme covers your balance.
What can go wrong
- You can lose money, including all of it. Trading can make a loss. Losses are shared among customers in proportion to their balances and reduce what you can withdraw.
- Returns are not guaranteed and there is no set rate. You are credited only a share of profit the trading operation has actually realised. In some periods there will be none.
- Withdrawals are not guaranteed to be immediate. They are paid from the funds the company keeps ready. Most money is deployed in trading, so after a loss, or if many customers withdraw together, payment can be delayed or may not be possible in full.
- You depend on the company. If the company fails or loses access to its accounts, you could lose your balance.
- USDT and blockchain transfers. Money moves in USDT, a cryptocurrency designed to track the US dollar and counted here as USD 1. USDT is issued by a private company and is not guaranteed to stay at one dollar. A transfer sent to a wrong address, or on a different network from the one you selected, cannot be reversed and the money is lost. Network fees are charged by the network or your exchange, not by Nestervest.
- Your own laws. Being able to open an account from your country does not mean this service is authorised there. You are responsible for checking that you may use it.
